Faith Circle West
Founded 2012 (Southwest Ont. District Union)
Faith Circle West (FCW) has been experimenting with several formats for our meetings. In April,
2011 we held a Communion service as part of our time together in an individual’s home. In 2012
we held several meetings of our Circle by itself in people’s homes in the towns of Niagara-on-the –
Lake and in Ridgeway. In September, 2012 several of our members had the opportunity to meet
with a delegation of The King’s Daughters and Sons, who had come to visit one of our members
from South Carolina. We found this to be a very worthwhile experience. We actively and fully
participate in the charitable and social activities of our District. In the period of 2011-2012 our Circle
gained 4 new members: Bob and Gail Kostash, Diane Fleming and Ralph Snyder. We also lost 2
members due to health reasons. Faith Circle West presently has 10 active members. Near the end
of 2012 our Circle decided it wanted for the time being to return to the practice of holding all of our
meetings with our sister Circle, Faith Circle East, until both Circles are a little larger. However, we
remain separate Circles each with its own members and executive. Each year in July several of
our Circle’s members travel together to Chautauqua and this whole group helps out at the
Chautauqua Chapter meeting. FCW is represented on the District and the Ontario Branch
executive. For a more complete list of activities in which FCW participates, please see the 2013
SODU District report to the Ontario Convention. In summary, Faith Circle West is fit and looks
forward to many exciting ventures in 2013 and beyond.
